Cut bank. A lot of the movie was filmed at my dads place west of Edmonton. My sister met John Malkovich, Billy Bob Thornton, and Bruce Dern. I missed out.

Was in High River couple weeks ago, and the street that they use to shoot Heartland on, (Maggie's Café) I think, they were all shut down, and was film trucks everywhere, smoke and they were filming a scene for Joe Pickett.
Ghostbusters Afterlife, was a fun one to watch, as recognized a lot of locations in that one.

I have a pirated DVD too. They “remastered” it 3-5 years ago and it is actually on blu-ray.

I let my two little girls watch it, as it was a favourite of mine as a kid. They were 5 and 7 and loved it. There was a little more cursing than I remembered. 😀 Since then they’ve watched it at least half a dozen times. Rad’s 25th anniversary was last year and they had a “one night” showing in Edmonton. It turned into 2 nights. I bought rad t-shirts for the whole family and we went and saw it on the big screen. The kids were so excited. I may have been too.

Movie pilot for Little House on the Prairie, Linda Blair, David Jensen and William Shatner. Filmed on Palmer Ranch's near Twin Butte Ab. Was another done at Pincher Station but can't remember the name, they used the stock yards.

Silver Streak, if you look closely, you get a glimpse of the Calgary tower.

Living in high river, there’s more than I can even bother to pay attention to at this point. Great for the Alberta economy and not complaining at all, but sure can be a pain in the butt some days too!

Also, I’m surprised no one has said Fubar yet!

Hate to correct you, but your a little wrong Linda Blair was in “Wild Horse Hank” , David Jansen and William Shatner were in one called “Pioneer Woman “ with Joanna Pettet , I believe. It was pilot that never got picked up. Both were filmed in twin Butte, my family worked on both of them. “Getting Married at Buffalo Jump “ was filmed at Pincher Station and Lundbreck .

In Didsbury they shut the main street down on a busy Friday afternoon, there were some very unhappy merchants.

Other movies shot at the ranch include “Days Of Heaven,” “Little House On The Prairie,” “Legends Of The Fall,” “The Jack Bull,” “Shanghai Noon,” “The ...

All shot on the Palmer Ranch and yes I worked on this set, moving fence lines, helping to build the sod house, digging the "garden" and watching an Actress run over the hill yelling "Trees" which I never understood until I moved from Twin Butte to the prairies.

That's awesome. I tried to get my 15 year old to watch and he was not interested in the slightest.

Fast Company, 1979, filmed in Edmonton and Calgary mostly. Chuck Chandler had a cameo as did the strip club on Whyte ave.

Brother has a friend that's been involved in building movie sets for decades, dated Paul Newman's daughter a couple of times. he has some interesting stories to tell.
