Default Horse wreck with my sis

Several of you know my sis so Ill post this hoping you get to read it

She was in a horse wreck last night. We arent exactly sure what happened because no one saw it.

Sis broke her neck, dislocated elbow and shoulder, ribs, and 40 staples to put her scalp back on.

Thanks to STARS for getting to the ranch and getting her to Edmonton.

She moved her legs and arms this morning.

Id have given you that know her a call but I dont have all your phone numbers. So I apologise if this is how you find out. It's the best I could do.

A close friend of the family had a horse go over backwards 3 summers ago, it was fatal,
saddle horn crushed the middle of her chest. Horses, imo, are very hazardous hobby.

That's terrible news Randy! But, I suppose it could have been worse. Hopefully she has a full and speedy recovery.

I was actually just out riding again today, trying to get my butt in order for a fall hunting trip with CowmanBob. I got demoted to a 20 year old plug horse today.

That's just about my speed. And that square headed bastard stepped on my foot on purpose too.

Horses, as mentioned, have a hazard attached to their use.

Shes a barrel racer, so like i told Leo, she already has permanent brain issues.........but didnt need another one😏

If I was there now i could likely reconstruct what happened by looking it over....pretty sure the horse dragged her and her head hit a metal fence rail or post...no way blunt trauma on a groomed barrel race ring would do that. And she is more banged up on one side over the other.....she connected with something really hard

Holy hell Randy

Is there anything I can do? Are you taking donations to help her out?

I appreciate that Ken.

We have it all covered. Son is at the ranch until this resolves itself.

Yep. STARS is one I also donate to, as well as Strollery Kids Hospital. Two very worthy charities. Not to derail, but relevant to discussion.

Totally relevant
No other way to get her to Edmonton safely with a broken neck. They swooped in and were gone
