Everytime I hear the STARS Helicopter my heart sinks, but I also feel a sense of great pride knowing that the person in their care are in the best hands they can be. My hat is off to the women and men who daily respond to the worst of the worst and help pull so many through.
STARS deserves everyone's support, you just might be their next patient.

Having just gotten out of foothills after nearly a month, including a week in intensive care, I was usually located close STARS landing pad.

In my drug addled state, I’d say that STARS made at least 3 trips a day, not to mention in the middle of the night that I managed to fitfully sleep through.

My hat is off to Stars and those involved in support. Hoping for a fast recovery for your sister Huntin.

The Stars landing pad used to be just north of the Foothills Emergency Department.

One of my colleagues has his office right next door. A few years ago, I asked him how many times STARS landed in a day and I think he said "zero to 10" or something similar.

That landing pad has been removed for the walkway from Foothills to the new Cancer Centre and I believe STARS now lands on the roof of a building further west.

Default Positive thoughts you way.

HS,

Thoughts and prayers for you and your family. Hopes for a full and speedy recovery.

If you do anything rural: Live/work/hunt/fish/quad/travel you need to support STARS. If something goes sideways they are your best bet.

I know many people who are alive because of STARS.

Everyone please keep them flying. Donate what you can.

My prayers and faith are with huntinstuff's sister to heal quickly. Very sorry to hear of her tragic turn of events.

They operated on her neck and make repairs to her vertebrae

This morning, they had her up on her feet and she walked a bit.

In short, thank you for your prayers and thoughts.

Much appreciated gals/guys

Removed her spinal drain today. She walked around a bit and Dr is discharging her this afternoon pending her xrays.

As long as the ride home goes smooth, Id say she is on the road to recovery

Sorry to hear about this. Prayers for a quick, full recovery.

Two of my kids basically in part, make their living with horses. I worry every day for them.
Please keep us informed on her recovery.
