Default Movie/ Shows filmed in Alberta

So I was watching Disney and it seems that both “The Banner Under Heaven” and “Prey” were filmed in Alberta. Any one else have a movie that they enjoyed that was filmed in our great province?

Pretty sure Unforgiven was and Open Range.

Also Revenant was I think. Because they were in the mountains when a chinook blew through and what’s his name thought the world was ending.

I can't remember the name of the film but there is property out by Smith that has an old run down building on it that was used for a movie.

The series "North of 60" was filmed by Bragg Creek.

Intern Academy (USA title: White Coats) was filmed in Edmonton, notably in the abandoned Charles Camsell Hospital.

Starring Dave Thomas, Dan Aykroyd, and Dave Foley. Cameos by local live theatre writers and performers as well as some friends of mine.

Alberta has always been popular with Hollywood. the Kananaskis would you believe. Parts of the Revenant were filmed in the same area, others in Argentina. My horse was supposed to be in Buffalo Bill and the Indians but failed the screen test. Kept bobbing his head when the Indians returned to a burned out village and looked over the devastation. Done as a lot of westerns are, at Morley.

I live next door to John Scott Productions and see lots of stuff being filmed over there. Some parts of Under the Banner of Heaven were shot on my place. A Billy the Kid series was shot here last summer that is currently playing on Paramount right now. Its a lot of fun watching them set up the shots and then see the finished product on TV later. It's quite a process for the big budget productions.
If you look really close at the current Air Canada in flight safety video you can see my house !

I know this has nothing to do with an actual film, but I just got back from Calgary filming a commercial for a company there, it’s a brand new seniors building, apparently Calgary Is a hotbed of action right now as my director was telling me they can’t find enough actors or actress in the older age groups that are in high demand right now…looks like I will be doing some more work in the area if all goes right. The ages in demand are 55-75 right now, extras needed, actual talent actors needed…
I’ve done a bunch of improv as well as theatre plays all over Calgary, but this was my first film commercial..

These commercials are always good for a laugh, when you see the actors in them, usually closer to 50 than 75. If you've ever been in a Seniors home, Reality ain't the same.

Years ago I downloaded a copy off of the pirate bay. I haven't been on there in years, if it even still exists.
I am going to see if I can stream it on kodi.

The final scene in The Revenant, where DiCaprio is chasing Bill through a Jack Pine forest, was filmed at the edge of Bragg Creek on Hwy 66.
About a mile past Hwy 758, on the right side. I drove past them filming a couple different days.

Some of The Assassination of Jesse James was filmed around Edmonton and in Ft Edmonton Park.

Snow Day with John Candy was Edmonton I believe.
