Never done it before, I've been thinking about it and I was thinking maybe one of those flowing water outlets will have open water.

A couple of young men got a commercial licence to catch and sell suckers from Muriel lake and are selling them through Sylvestre's/Bonnyville, Poachers Corner/Glendon and Warehouse Sports/St Paul. Don't know who has what it stock at the moment and I think they are selling for 6/$10. Your friend jkbloom should be able to grab some for you.

Walk into Ashland dam by Warburg. Gates are closed for winter. Easy place to catch lots of 6 to 10 inch suckers.
If a person wanted to try the NSR for suckers in the winter the place to go would be Goldbar park in Edmonton where the water treatment plant discharges and keeps the river opened. I've caught rockies there in winter too. Seems colder there because there is humidity in the air and the sun doesn't shine there. It's not really deep there but does hold fish.

They sell for about $5 for a pair of fillets in flin flon last I saw. I still have 40+ in the freezer but they are close to a year old. May consider trade for HDS 12. Lol
