Thumbs up Emma's Cafe and Convenience Cold Lake

Folks....if your heading out to fish on Cold Lake stop in at Emma's Cold in Lake North for great food and yup...fishing supplies too

Its not too far from the Cold Lake Provincial Park so if your going to use that area to access the lake Emma's is very close and convenient.

Google the location etc for more info.

This week is warming up so I dropped in for a top up on gear and supplies....tight lines!

I mean... I hate to give this thread even a slight bit of traction but I didn't realize these forums were for this purpose. Should I now start to tell people to shop at business X because I'm getting kick backs from them?

Yup supporting local business is never a bad thing. People wonder why there is no local bait or tackle in some places. Dont have to spend all your money there either.

Quit over reaching and get a life. It is a simple thing to point out a place you like. I doubt there is any motivation other than that. Move on.

Jeepers ya really just gotta enjoy life...it's not that difficult to share a positive experience every now and then.....to be fair I am just a fella who enjoys the outdoors and the simple things that come along with that....like sharing good information with like minded people so they can have a positive experience too.

I've never been to cold lake, but I agree with the sentiment in this thread. It's good to support a business like that, so it's there when you really need it.
I usually stop at the wooden shoe when I go fishing at gull lake. I dont make it up there too often, so I dont have much current experience whenever I do make it. But I buy a few wire worms and some king mints, and ask which ones are the best sellers, and that gets me pointed in the right direction.
And I always say, if you see the rest of the ice fishermen stopping there, wooden shoe?

So your saying I should eat until I’m as wide as I’m tall? Some of those lakers are absolute pigs!!!

Nothing wrong with supporting local small businesses. Clark’s just off the marina has a decent menu/food and ice cream in the summer. We always make a stop there when out on the lake. Kids and Mom like it.

OMG!!! Blatant promotion of a business. I don't want to give this thread more merit but I feel I have to. The world, as we know it, is coming unglued! This must be the biggest issue we face today. Wow...

Maybe you should talk with Emma and start selling your tube jigs there, just a thought and could work in your favour.

I don't read the fishing thread that often but got to say it's a pretty tough crowd. God forbid u should post a review of a great local place so others can enjoy it too. Even if u owned the place, where is the harm. Some of these guys need to get out in the fresh air more. Seasonal affective disorder seems to be running rampant.

LOL .... agreed ........ this is what happens to us when we've been locked indoors with this weeks weather !!!!!! I think we all need to get back on the ice or in the woods next week when it warms up a bit.
