Default Marcum lx 5 issues

Hey all. my lx 5 is not working. hope it's just the battery but i thought even if its dead when plugged in to outlet would still turn on unit. Plugged it in for few hours, turned it on,it makes a sound but no lights etc. Battery holds zero charge.
Before i buy a new battery and/or send it away for repairs is there anyone near beaumont or leduc with a similar unit that i could try with mine ? send a PM if so
Thanks

12volts is 12volts. Hook it up to another battery and try it out.

It might be worth to check the fuse on the charge line.

Got it sorted out. Battery was dead but the biggest issue was a broken wire in the line. Thanks for the advice guys. Since i'll be fishing in the shack i'm going to run it from my lawn mower battery.
