Default shot this buck....

last night.
made a poor (high) shot and had to go back this a.m.
was a brutall 400 yard tracking job but found him piled up in a hell-hole on the river bank.
glad to be done. now onto coyotes

Congrats on a fine buck! Bow killed animals are always so much more rewarding! Good luck with your pursuit of the Wiley coyotes!

thanks fellas.

have been on probably over 1000 blood trails between bear and deer and this one was one of the worst ones ever.
in the end, knowedge of the terrain most likely accounted for finding him as blood was non-existant for the last 100 yards.
high entry and no exit can be troublesome.
