Brutal! 3 goals on four shots. Am I the only one who thinks Nurse is overrated and over paid?

Gonna have to change their helmets from Skip the Dishes to Skip the Defense. 4 goals just like that.

They need to launch Nurse into the sun.

It’s pretty crazy that they are the best scoring team in the leaugue but the back line is mediocre at best.

Can't blame this one on Skinner. Oilers have a weak defence, period. Come playoff time it will be their achilles heel.

Default Rearview alright

Rearview mirror just like old 29 draisaitl a -2 again now a minus player on the year.Said it over and over this guy stinks in his own end and watch his absolute lack of effort everytime he turns puck over in offensive end.Can not wait till the day he is a ex Oiler.Wonder what Ekholm thinks of Draisaitl defensive abilities?

It makes perfect sense, they spent the bulk of their cap on offense, and can't afford a quality defence.

^ Haha. That is true. Although Nurse’s hit on the cap is over $9M, making him the 7th highest paid d-man in the NHL (there are 3 tied for number 4 spot, so the cap is 5th highest). Go figure.

You can’t talk about the Kraut that way around here. Even though what you state is obvious and he is as one dimensional as it gets, many here have his poster above their headboards. Tread carefully when talking about the all mighty German….

So they overpaid for Nurse, and had nothing left for the rest of the defense and goaltending.

It’s not like there is a store with top notch tenders and D men…….
They are hard to come by. Rare to see on the market. Teams lock them down.
Pretty much have to get lucky or work with your draft picks and raise your own back men.

This is a prime example as to what a game like playing Boston does to you, makes you tired and well the loss says it all.

Oilers have not got the depth to go the distance

Wasn’t my quote to a post that said a Boston and Oiler playoff series would have Boston moving to the next round?

Well if the Oilers play Boston in a series this year I will be happy as that would start on June 8 and be the stanley cup final, however they both have about 37 games to get there yet ............... so what are the odds

Oilers were a force to be reckoned with until the rails fell off the defence and bad goals went in…then the loss got into their head and it was almost like they gave up.

Still time to pull it together. The Boston win was decisive. Toronto was horrible.

You stated Boston would be golfing indicating an Oiler win of a round against Boston

Good luck.

Mcbaby can’t even get a real goal? Has to wait until the goalie is 70 feet from the net to score? Over rated.

I've been convinced that Hyman was hurt or ill for a while now, he hasn't been himself for almost 2 weeks.

When Hyman isn't a dog on a bone on the forecheck, ragging the puck along the boards, or standing in the blue paint, something is wrong. His scoring has disappeared lately too, he's just been a step behind all the time. That's not a skill or effort thing when it comes to Hyman...

Good solid win last night. Hopefully they keep taking care of business.
