It's a great idea though. Why don't you write a letter to the base commander and remind him just where his paycheck course from?

The military isn't funded by Joe "Taxpayer?" If the people making the investment arent allowed say while those not invested are allowed to reap benefits, thats a short trip towards zero benefits for all. Should be the base commanders decision on WHERE and WHEN hunts take place on the land but not WHO does the hunting. Thats all I'm saying. Of course he's federal and takes his marching orders from another fed so of course communications there would be fruitless. Letters should be directed to HIS commanders, civilian types, and the best letter is a large X beside any candidate not running for the kowtowing parties with no spine.

The only point that should be driven home here is "We make money off these guys when they hunt here. We don't make money off these guys. That only makes sense as a business model to politicians. Its a 2 tiered plan turned upside down and one of the reasons this country is taking a deep dive down the crapper. Pay to play for ALL. Its what helps subsidize efforts to ensure wildlife continues to even exist.

You guys just don't get it do you?
Let make things perfectly clear for you then.
Just because your tax dollars pay for our Military dosen't mean you can tell them what to do on base

What all of you need to understand is the access that the base commander is limiting to "certain' individuals is for areas that have sensitive or possible dangerous locations and if you aren't properly trained or qualified (in a military sense) then access is denied. This is to keep average " joe's " from harming themselves or others and or from being near secret or sensitive military equipment or buildings. IE: explosive ordinance. The Base commander is simply allowing access as he/she deems safe for those with permission to enter. Kinda a result of our law system so that they are not open to legalities by legally prone idiots.

I served in both the army and airforce for 26 years and know all Base/Wing commanders main concern is for the safety of all those who enter THEIR domain. Nothing else really matters.

Doesn't mean we are the bosses of the Military, which is what the poster implied. We do not directly sign their pay slips .

Agreed, I never said we had any “rights” to the base but for anyone to suggest that it isn’t the taxpayer paying for our military … I can’t keep quiet for that statement 🤪
