Default Walleye Draws

Went to put in my walleye draws this morning and wouldn't you know it, the system still isn't ready. It would be nice to see my previous years walleye draw priority, but that's not up, even worse, you are still not able to enter any draws. Kind of a joke.

any of you do a group app with 4 entries?

i keep getting one member flagged and it wont complete it....its a different member every time i run through it....getting tired of entering WIN numbers now....guess ill get off my wallet and do them all individually....call it a charitable donation to SRD.

Its too bad they dont do these draws on the same date every single year so the people in charge of the software can have ample notice to be prepared....oh...right.....theres that common sense thing again.

I kept trying to enter but got a message saying i was not in their system. finally called them and it turns out when they switched programming suppliers to from IBM to someone else they lost a bunch of profiles, so be prepared for a long wait if yours is one of them.

i just got off the phone with a nice fella from deep southern US by the sounds of it.

my issue was on my moms card. it was renewed last year and i guess their system showed the card as expired. he updated it to valid on the phone. didnt even ask me for proof. said im not the first one with that same issue today.

having some switch over pains obviously....hope they get these ironed out with these dumb fish draws and we have smooth seas ahead for hunting draws.

Did anyone apply for walleye draw for kids as of yet?

I have done all the time in the past but to recreate the AlbertaRELM account for my daughter I believe that for one of the steps I will have to enter driving license and she is not old enough to drive and obviously does not have one.

I am wandering by putting her age in (i.e. being minor) will the system just skip driver license step?

Thanks

I think for children it was a Alberta Health Care card number (no spaces or dashes) that you need to enter.

How long is the draw open for? Are you at a disadvantage applying tomorrow?

No, I don't see that tab or option in the system to few current priorities.

every year, there are lots of walleye tags left for some lakes and you can buy them anytime in the year. Why should we do the draw? Just curious!

Yes you can put in for all 3 classes but can only be drawn for 1. First they pick all the class A if you didn't get drawn then it b then c.

Can anyone post a link about the working of the walleye draw? I've never heard of it before logging in to the new site the other day, but I wasn't able to find anything that describes the classes, or even the purpose of the draw. Possibly I missed it, I'll look again.

me thinks they have noticed a couple glitches, good plan to roll it out with the Walleye draws, that are way lower subscribers, then be sure they have it correct for the inevitable onslaught of the big game draws, wouldn't want to be them as this thread and others have proven, they better not screw it up, cause I can't be bothered reading up on anything

It wont even let me enter the walleye draw....my win card expired 3 months ago,And I havnt renewed it...maybe thats why?

Eitherway this new system is nothing less than a Abortion....typical government "F-UP"....if it aint broke....DONT FIX IT.

I got my license and entered the draw yesterday, first time for me and it seemed simple enough. The thing is I only saw a place to choose one class and specify 3 lake choices. Do you need to enter (and pay $3) three times to apply for all 3 classes or did I miss something?

Yes. One application fee per class, up to 3 lake choices per class. Exactly the same as hunting draws.

K!
turns out that my WIN card being expired WAS the problem....my bad....
still think it's a weak website....why not inform a guy that he needs a new WIN card instead of making a game of 20 questions out of things?!?!?
k. that's my rant.....good luck all....hope you all get the draw you want!!! cheers, gw
