Default Time for a new float tube..

I have an old Caddis belly boat that I need to replace this year. Mine is one of the original styles with a tire tube for a bladder, and while I'd continue to use it, many of the seems are not doing so well and it's time to put this old girl to pasture.

I've been thinking about getting a pontoon type float tube, something like a Fish Cat 4. Anyone use this model? What do you think? How does a pontoon style compare to a U-style or an old round tube? I can see how the pontoon style would be warmer since more of you is out of the water, but how do they handle the wind?

Love to here what kind of tube you're using and why you like or dislike it.

Just got a Fish Cat 4 off Kijiji from a guy in Calgary yesterday for $100. then went to Bass Pro & bought a few items to go with it. I did my research, there's a number of good articles & You-tube video's on this model ... from what I found & now see in the construction it's a keeper.

Their "Deluxe" model is an upgrade with separate air valve for the seat/back which gives you another 2" of height out of the water, something to consider.
