North sask? South sask? Or the sask River in Saskatchewan after the the north and south meet? I've never heard of anyone catching them, maybe in the codette portion in sask...

I was thinking of the north sask..I would think with all the tributaries running into it there would be a few..

Perch are more suited for lakes here in Alberta. Not a well known River fish.

Perch typically don't do well in current unlike Walleye which often thrive in those environments. Now, it is true that Perch inhabit river systems all over N.A. But that is to say if there are any in the N.Sask you would most likely find them in slack water, back water, and behind any large obstructions that would offer slow current areas. Anytime I have caught Perch in a river they have been found in areas such as this, never out in the flow.

Never heard of or caught any perch in the NSR over the past 50 years I've been fishing the river. It would be nice if there was.

I could see perch being in the upper sturgeon river at certain times of the year as the river connects a few perch bearing lakes together. The first mile or two of the river leaving the east side of lesser slave lake supposedly has perch in it at certain times of the year.
