Yes I was surprised that they didn't start soupy until I heard skinny would set a record with the win, great for him and the team, now the real season starts, every inch of ice will be contested.

I sure hope they go deep and win it all. However I am keeping it real and understand that things happen in the playoffs that can shake a team hard.

This is true. There are no Betman points in the playoffs. You can’t go into a defensive shell in the third period in a close game hoping for at least a loser point.

All kinds of personal and team milestones hit this season. You can throw all that out the window now. It's a new season. But the one that sticks out for me and could bode well for them in the playoffs is that all twelve forwards the team will be icing in Game 1 vs. LA have 10 or more goals. It's been a long time since we've had this kind of depth.
It will be a wild series, I think. The history with Mikey Anderson, LA getting beat last year. Korpisalo has played well vs the Oil.

Hopefully they can put together a team worthy of competition in the battle of Alberta now. It’s been yawn.

Doughty is already chirping about 'smacking' 97 if given the chance yet 'won't take unnecessary penalties' I foresee some powerplay chances coming our way. Is it 8:00 yet!? Let go OIL!!

Don't want to miss the first 5 mins of this game, I think a lot of setting the tone will happen. Hope Kostin is on fire hitting everything and anyone in his way.

I wonder how many periods Yamamoto will last. I hope they go deep and bring lord Stanley home. But this is big boy hockey now and 56 doesn’t have the size needed for what they’re about to endure.

He will be fine…… there’s no difference in playoff hockey vs. teams fighting for a playoff spot in the final 10 games. She’s all in.

I’m predicting a slow first 5 minutes followed by the Oilers pounding on every power play. Dominating Oiler performance tonight.
Bringing their defence and goalie A game!
Go team Alberta go!

LA will come out flying and pounding trying to get the first goal and take the crowd out of it

I think this is my worst nightmare. I would like to not cheer for the Oil unless they are the last Canuck team standing........but what if that was Tarrana? Egad. I can't really cheer for the 'Chuck until round 3 I think....

^ At least I’ll get to watch some more good hockey, lol. Watched the first two, then had some things to do. Checked with less than a minute to go, it was 3-2, lol.
