Pi mining and crypto currency

Has anyone heard of this PI crypto currency? My sister sent me this invite and it supposedly uses your phone to mine these pi coins.

I thought I would throw it out there If anyone wants to read on it.

Haven't heard of it, but given the limited power of a phone's CPU and the fact that it will always be performing other operations in parallel I am skeptical.
