How much ice is on badger? Are there any heaves or areas to avoid?

LOTS of trucks on the lake today. Wind was pretty mild, beauty day! Fishing was slow for us, but lots being caught around us. We hit a few small pike,, but they didn't seem very interested in the large bait we had. 20" of good ice.

On the lake now and ice measures 20 inches where we are. Fishing a little quiet at least yhe bite. Several on the camera but are just sniffing and not much for takers doesnt seem to matter what we do they just stare at the bait moving or not.

Perfect, that's all I needed to know. I know where they are and have caught them there before. Action just isn't fast and furious. Haven't been to badger yet this year, been fishing grassy and chin and up around cold lake all winter.

was out yesterday at the north end, lots of small pike, was targeting whitefish and only saw 1 in 4 hours. wind was certainly a menace.

Just got in from Badger. Super slow day, 6 small pike, 1 small Walleye and a whole lot of nothing else. Saw alot of whites when I was sight fishing this morning in 5 FOW but couldn't get them to bite any thing. Tried every hook in the box as well as minnows, maggots, worms and shrimp. They would would swim up to the hook and just stare at it Saw a couple really small perch as well that wern't buyin what I was sellin.. Weather was awsome and there were only a few people on the lake today. Ice is 18-20" and there is 1-3" flood water. Super slippery so take cleats or YakTraks when you go.
