Default Desert sheep hunt in mexico

Has anyone on here done one of these hunts?
I’ve heard stories of deals that are too good to be true
Just wondering what to look out for?
If you’ve done it, what was the process to bring your ram back
How long did it take?
Good stories or horror stories I’m all ears lol

Maybe you can get your truck washed while you're at it.

I’m hoping to go after my slam ram next year. Still undecided about Mexico or possibly try to purchase an auction tag in Utah. Hoping to get some info at the Reno sheep show

The market is currently flooded with desert rams right now. Lots and lots of new farms have opened up and a lot of great operators are offering hunts.
Lancaster’s are doing them there and have been for the last several years with great success.
I’ve seen quite a few selling in the $35K range if you’re ready to roll when the deals come up.
They’re way cheaper then they used to be.

Thiburon island is still pricey if you book in advance ($95K) but I’ve seen deals in the $50K range if you can go on shorter notice.

It’s not too hard to apply for the draw in the states, of course the odds of being drawn aren’t very good.

My biggest concern, really, is making sure I can get my sheep back. And I’m not hunting some cartels kingpins sheep.
A good friend of mine knows clay and he’s checking into the outfitter
Kind of the last hurdle
I’ve spoken to a few of their references and one of them was a great guy from Quebec. I’ll probably end up joining him on a hunt somewhere in the next couple years
