Man this team needs to grow some killer instinct...why do they always let the opposing team back when they start out dominating?
We don't need "Cardiac Kids"...at least my ticker can't handle it.....but we'll take the two points...nice to see the first line clicking again.

According to TSN and ESPN, the Flames are leading 4-2. But the way it's going, we will be watching Toronto if we want to watch a Canadian team in the playoffs.

Flames down 2-0 after giving up a late first period goal, respond with 4 in the second. That looks pretty good compared to how the Oilers failed to respond in their 5-0 game....

Excellent game by Flames, weathered a last minute empty net storm and take the win in regulation. Lots of shots from everywhere and everyone contributed. Like it!

Woot!

Outshot, less PIM, more hits, tied on giveaways, more take aways, and won the faceoff battle against a pretty good team.

Next two are big ones with both teams above them in the playoff fighting for a wildcard spot.

Weird day, the Oilers beat the Ducks, Habs beat Tampa, and the Coyotes beat Nashville. Could have won some money if you'd predicted that no doubt.

Much better effort! Great game. Why the Flames seem to own the Kings I'll never know.

I was lucky enough to be at the game last night with my Son.
First period YAWN but a few signs of good stuff.. Just the odd shift looked good.
The second was amazing, perhaps the best period I have seen in ages. The fans were showing their appreciation even when they didn't score.
Fun game to watch and we came out on top!

Wow! Two quick goals from Flames for an early 2 goal lead! They came to play looks like.

I see that Perry is back...the dirt bag.

Boys have decided they don't really like each other, sure a good first period if you're a Flames fan!

It always scares me when they take early leads like this... maintaining that level of intensity becomes the big challenge. So many games seem to be lost in that scenario.

Was there best first period this season, Coach's rant apparently helped. I think they will keep up the intensity for the game, they hate the Ducks almost as much as I do...

The western conference is so tight too! Flames are only three points out of a wildcard spot, and yet there are three teams above them. Every game counts...

Without question the Ducks are the dirtiest, sneakiest team in the league. I spend more time watching the crap that Perry is pulling behind the play, on the way to the bench, then I do the play...its always entertaining. And the Flames always seem to get the retaliation penalty. I also liked how Ritchie hit Stone clean, knocking him down...but had to give him a nice slash on the way down for good measure. Classy bunch.

I hate the Ducks.

That's the Ducks for you...slew foot your goalie behind net. Bennett sure took it to Manson, he's a tough kid.

Watching that fight, it makes me wonder... with all we know about concussions and their effects on the brain, why is beating on someones head considered acceptable (aside from 5 minutes in the penalty box)?

Edit: That's aside from what we are teaching our children.

I personally don't think it should be accepted, particularly with a son who had to stop playing because of concussions. Any other sport it's a suspension for X games and a fine.

Having said that, when you see something as dirty and dangerous as your goalie getting slew footed (and NO penalty??)...I understand why the gloves flew.

I really think its time to stop it (fighting)... any attempt to injure should be treated the same I think, ie: strictly

As much as I hate the "dirty Ducks" I dislike Matthew Tchachuk almost as much. He's the only Flames player that I don't like. I swear to God that Sean Avery is his biological father. The way he was digging for blood on his lip and sticking it out after the high stick, I'm almost glad that the Ducks (who I truly dislike) scored that short handed goal.
