The open ice hit when the German dropped his shoulder was simply awesome!

I was going to post being happy to see Nuge having a solid start this year. He is smiling a lot more like he is having fun.

Good things to come.

Default Nugee

I can finally say that Ryan Nugent Hopkins is playing like a veteran, no 1 overall pick. Feels good. Such a cerebral player.

Count up how many coaches and different systems he has had to endure since 2011. Lol…
Hopkins has been very very consistent regardless of the coaching revolving door he has had to endure.

Yes the canucks got an early Xmas present alright, but they played well, the oilers not so much, and the flamers blew right past us in the standings

Hard to believe that skinner faced almost 40 shots. He’s been a godsend.

My my. Someone's so bitter about all things Oilers.

Cheer up dude. Turtles is second to only McJesus for points scored in 2022. Oh wait...

Oilers now 4 players with 40 points or more. Gotta wonder if it would be 5 with Kane playing...
Few more loser points would have them sitting pretty

Love that kid, he brings it every night. We just have to STOP giving up 40+ shots EVERY game. I told anyone that would listen pre-season that he was gonna challenge for the #1 spot this season. It's it still a debate? I don't think so but I'm sure many would disagree.

Sure didn't expect that tonight. Was kinda thinking let's just get it to OT and see what happens. What a nice surprise that was.

Much like the flames game, they kept seattle to low chance shots. Does flinging a puck from center ice really count?

Thr Flames game? Calgary had 27 legitimate scoring chances against the Oilers. They were talking about it during the Flames/Kraken game.

Don't get to far ahead of yourself man

Edit : in 3 Games vs the Oilers we have had 98 scoring Chances vs their 61 Chances.

Sounds like they need someone who can actually hit the net....maybe get closer, might help

Might just have a player crack 40 points doing that

Oilers had the 2 highest scoring players in the league 2 years in a row, Missed the Playoffs both years and you are 1 point ahead of us this season. It's a team game, you could have 10 40 point players, if you can't stop the other team from scoring more than it doesn't matter.

Oilers have 3 more wins (which would be 6 more points). One less than LA. That's gotta mean something

And if you don't have a player that can score....well....works both ways judging by Calgarys playoff success
