My thoughts exactly. lol. The boys definitely had a shooter's mentality in this game, which is not always the case. Gotta love Kostin so far. How about Holloway's first NHL fight and the grin on his face aferwards.

Saw the replay, thought Dunn was a bit bigger but according to NHL.com Holloway is taller and heavier.

And, if your goalie can't stop a beachball in the second round of the playoffs...chances are your odds decrease. Especially when a player skating on one leg racks 17 points.

Then, if you let 82 goals and 229 pts walk out the door during the offseason.....

You are not very good at math.

We gained 17 points with Khadri/Weegar/Hubrdeau over Tkachuk/Geadreau.

Oh so this year Calgary gets those 3 players points from last year?? Thats interesting. This season those 2 players are outscoring the 3 you mentioned by 30+ points with one of them playing for a bum team. The other is 24 yrs old and is just hitting his prime years.

Their 2 Teams are also out of the Playoffs. Geadreau doesn't not want to be in a pressured market. Different systems different point schemes. Tkachuk is a loss for Calgary, Geadreau was not a Playoff player, Huberdeau and Khadri now have a chance to show us what they can do here. Khadri has shown he can perform in the Playoffs.

Update on Leon: He is slated to sit out tonight vs WPG and was planned to be out Tuesday vs SEA too but I guess he really wants to go tonight. I'd rather take a healthy Leon.

No surprise that Campbell starts tonight. He's been breaking in some new equipment. He needs to get going.

We should talk about that beauty finish by Jesse last night. Hopefully that'll get the big man going. He's got the hockey smarts, his body/athletic ability needs to catch up. That guy could easily score 30+ playing with McDavid. Hopefully that's a hint of what's to come, he might be on the cusp of putting it together.

Yes was pretty cool to see Dylan interviewed earlier this year. They even said your not the first Holloway that's played NHL and showed a pic of the old man in skates. We are pretty lucky to have worked with him. I will admit I'm no Oiler fan but at least if they do manage a win, I can be happy for Dylan.

13 also has to use his size more and get more scrappy. Play with more of an edge. Get Messier in the dressing room with him.

GO OIL!!!

Darn, both games went bad last night, the flamers are back in front in the standings and TC and Trochu are grinning like a skunk eating onions

I have to admit, last night was a bit of an Eeyore moment for me. This team really peeves me off sometimes. That was epically bad on every level.

If they don't bring in at least 1, maybe 2, rugged shut down defensemen, I don't think this team can get it done. Offensive, puck moving D men are great....until they aren't.

Bouchard, Kulak, Barrie, Broberg.......all far too soft in their own end. They can't continue to cede the territory in front of the net and lose the man on man battles in the D zone and be successful.

I'm not a Spector fan by any stretch, but he nailed it last night. D corp is FAR too soft, and nearly $9MM a year for three wingers that COMBINED aren't producing what a single $3MM winger playing with McDavid or Drai should be producing. Not good...

Yep, that's what this team SHOULD look like on most nights. Very well played game, and had Sorokin not stood on his head again in the 1st, it would have been an early runaway. The fact they locked it down in the 3rd was all that mattered.

Ohhhh to be a fly on the wall at that players only meeting, but hopefully they cleared the air.

The big thing now is it can't be just one game, that have to keep that style and intensity going for an extended stretch.

Better effort yielded a better result.

How does Hunt score on that with his visor up like that? That's a penalty all day long. Equipment violation? Why is no one talking about that??
