Default Lower Kananaskis Lake Construction

Was at Upper K & Lower K today. Not sure what they got going on at Lower K,
but it looks like there won't be much wiggle room this summer at the Outflow.

I agree the regs are interpreted to not allowing fishing at the outflow, but has anyone been subject to enforcement or witnessed enforcement? I don't get the impression that this is enforced....

Last year F&W came by to check if people were within the distance that is stated on the sign, they also made sure that it was marked

Was there for almost 3 weeks last year. Saw the F&W several times checking. Not sure why people fish that close anyways...the big bastards are out about 75 yards. The little cutts like to troll the shore on the south side of the outflow but the BIG BOYS are out a little further than you can reach with a fly rod due to the close proximity of the rocks and bushed behind you. I've go both those lakes all scoped out.

I've been there 5 or 6 times already and yes I saw it get enforced. Some guy was fishing there and then got a fine then he apparently got mouthy and the Co put him in cuffs. He kept him there for 30 to 60 mins. After that he checked me for my license. He seemed nice enough and told me he was down for a few weeks from Hinton filLing in or something. He wasn't effing around.

We're planning on going to K for a couple of weeks holidays and I was hoping to do some fly fishing. Are both lakes good for fishing? Any info from personal experience would be good and appreciated. I hear it's beautiful country down there...
