Default Range to 400yds

I just moved to Edmontona
area and am looking for a good place to take the rifles out and shoot some targets out to 400 yds. Any threads i could find were fairly old. would like to be able to drive 30 min at the most

Where's Edmontona??

Anyway, CHAS has ranges that long and is within half an hour, but the CFO isn't being very cooperative and has anything past 100m closed for the time being.

Other than that, I don't think there are any other options for that distance that are close by.

Perhaps knocking on farmer's doors is an option, assuming they have the distance and a quality backstop with nothing "downrange" for a very long distance...

I've never been in that situation, so I'm not too sure if that would be viable or not.

A long distance range within 30 minutes (aka acerage country) of a large city is somewhat difficult. CHAS is the closest thing. If not, Edson.

From what I understand these were lifted a few months back. Their website says the ranges to 800m are open.

I recall a club announcement that the longer ranges had been reopened ...check with the club.

CHAS now has their ranges open, that is your best bet. Other than that, Edson.

Is Wildwood capped, do they have memberships available for 2018?

Wildwood is measured in yards. The max is 304 yards. CHAS @Genesee's range has 100m, 200m, 300m, 500m, and 800m.

No, they are not "capped". They just started taking memberships for 2018 at the beginning of April. Singles are $95 plus $25 range maintenance fee for the year (April 1st until March 31).
