Default Open hike in spots near calgary

Hey everyone

Does anybody know of any places to hike in and fish near Calgary that are open this time of year? I would be looking to do a hike anywhere from an hour to 3. Anywhere within driving distance from Calgary would work.

Thanks

Are you looking to ice fish? Would think most places in the mountains are still not open.

That being said the only place that I personally been to is shark lake that is open all year. Which is prone to winter kill and stocked with Cutts.

Check the regs. A lot of the lakes highlighted in red are open all year.
