Doberman.. You might have to be more specific, & narrow down your question. Edson area has a ton of fishing available. Rivers, streams, lakes?..Fly, spincasting?..Pike, trout, whites, walleye, perch, grayling?..Boat, shore?..Open water, Ice?.. Answer's will follow.....Good luck

Thanks johnny, noted...most of my gear is being shipped from east coast. I will be basic spin castin from shore for time being. Been to Mcleod handfull of times NE of edson but just been fighting the murky volume, as its the season. Anyway just looking for something worthwhile this time in the season before everything opens up in few weeks.

Tough right now since many of the lakes are still frozen or closed and the rivers are high almost everywhere.

You could take a look at Millers Lake as it might be starting to open up.

Rivers are all high due to a fast snow runoff but most of that is gone now so they might come back to fishable levels for a bit before the mountain snow really starts melting. With our warm weather that snow might be already starting to melt too though.

Emerson Lake if it is open is a good bet. I use a snelled hook tipped with a small piece of worm and a power bait (keeps the hook off the bottom) tied to a small swivel and a quarter or half ounce egg weight on the main line.
Cast it out and let it sink.
I'll PM and tell you where on the lake.

The McLeod is certainly high, fast, and dirty right now. I did check on the Lambert Pond just south of the dodge dealership in town not sure if there’s any life in there but it should get stocked soon and it was ice free and I checked on millers lake tonight and it’s about 80% ice free and all of the ice has been blown to the east side! Hope that helps!
