Talking Burnstick Lake

Just finished reading the posts about Beaver lake and I agree it is a nice lake to fish no matter how you fish. Just fish because you love it. I know my title says Burnstick so what I would like to know is the guys who fish Beaver or anyone else. Have you taken a drive by Burnstick and is the ice off yet? I have just put my new kicker on and need to try it out. Just put in a new Humminbird sonar which also needs to be tested. Works great on simulation but it's just not the same, if ya know what I mean!!! I will be in the Sundre area this coming weekend and if anyone can let me know if the lake is free of ice that would be great. Don"t worry guys myself and most of, if not all my friends, fish for the sport and the challenge of it. We rarely ever keep fish we catch. If it's legal and the urge does come over us we will keep one just for quality control and to keep our taste buds happy. Yes nothing but Barbless hooks. Just wish they were more readily available. HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN

Damn the torpedos. Looks like it's going to be south then. Thanks for the info. If anything happens soon just let the word out.

I was there on saturday.
The red deer river coming in is clear but the lake was still ice covered.
It was just starting to get soft around the shores.
Last friday sylvan had about 100' of water from the shore.

Gull lake had about 500' of open water from the shore at Aspen beach.
