Hey all, trying to get the family out to Lesser Slave Lake in mid June. Any idea to the time frame before the ice is off the lake. I was hoping that I would be able to put my boat on it, but I've heard rumor that the ice doesn't come of the lake till July???

Ice should be off Slave within 2 weeks. The smaller lakes around Athabasca have started to let go. Baptiste Lake by Athabasca is ice free as of yesterday and the rest are well on their way. Good luck on your trip to Slave.
Yes the ice is usually off by the end of May. Shaws Point is an exellent place to camp with the family. They have two marinas so getting the boat in is no problem. The best walley fishing in Alberta I think, kids never get skunked. Good luck have fun
