Blackstone River near Nordegg

Hi, I was wondering if anybody had fly fished in the Blackstone River North of Nordegg this year? I went too early last year, in about June, and it was too fast, high and murky to fish. Was thinking of driving there next weekend, but don't want to drive there again if it's not fishable.

I was there last weekend. It’s crystal clear and very fishable. Caught a small bull, a small rocky, and about a half dozen small cutties. Lost a big cuttie before I could get a net under it. Only down side is it was packed with fisherman!

Thank you! I took your advice on the crowds and went Monday-Tuesday instead of the weekend! Worked out great, only saw one other group of two there the whole time
