Default Sylvan pics - Yesterdays Wind Storm

The big blow hit Sylvan first then headed towards Red Deer, we had the same wind gusts at around 110 Kph, this was our second major wind storm in 3 weeks, lots of damage in town, the golf course next door opened 9 holes around noon, remainder still closed. Power came back near midnight, at least my beer was cold today.

Took 3 loads to the dump, still not done.

A few pic's.

That's some serious damage there.

I'm at work so missed it , but I guess it blew both my boys off the playground after soccer practise in red deer. And took the baby stroller out with my youngest in it away from mom.she was wide eyed I guess and frightened ( Sierra is only 4 months ) Also knocked down a tree. Wonder if same school. ? I forget. Near the E part of town ??? Can't remember. Lol.

Luckily i happened to have 20 litres of gas in yard and the generator under the stairs so our food is ok.

My oldest boy hit some pavement and pretty banged up , wanted mom to watch a movie with him on portable DVD and snuggle.

^ is that the school where all the different coloured jersey younglings play soccer on Tuesdays ??from the pic it looks like it.

Wow, the wind was so strong it blew the sidebars on the Canada flags crooked!

Glad everyone is okay. Looks like a fair amount of damage!

This isn't likely. Critical areas of the hospital are on generator backup.

Cheers
