Thanks. That action shot has special meaning to me. A few years back my dad bought a flyrod set up and wanted me to take him out in AB to learn to flyfish. A few months later he passed from cancer and never got to use it. The rod was passed down to me and that was the first fish caught on it. I had the flyrod in my left hand and was crouching down with the point and shoot in the other. The old man was good with photography and I can't help but think he was looking down on me that day and played an assist on that shot.

I caught this guy on 6lb test while tossing a spinnerbait for smallies.

You are right there Oliver people forget or perhaps don't realize that pigeon is not only an awesome walleye fishery but it has a great pike population.

Yes, national park. However the license you'll get only will allow you fishing at Banff, Jasper or Yoho national parks, because of that make sure to check out regulations or special licenses you may need when fishing at any national park.

Size
Dont be afraid to go smaller with your bait or lures too. if you look close you can see the quarter ounce jig I had on with a 2 inch minnow when I caught my best pike last winter. Just make sure you dont overstress your gear if you hook a big pike. use the drag, if you have one.
