Default Regulations on catching bait

Can you use a net to catch bait fish, if it's in a creek that doesn't hold game fish?
I don't have any plans to, I was putting together some materials for minnow traps, and got to pondering.

Do you have any friends?

Just kidding around.
I took your advice and had a peek at the regs. I was surprised to see that seine nets of a certain size are actually allowed.
(I did have to look at Wikipedia to see what a seine net is, though.).
I'd never considered actually netting baitfish, but now I want to try.
Where does a guy buy a seine net?
Can you make one?

Pop bottle traps have always worked best for me, and I've caught all kinds of Dace, juvi suckers, Brook stickleback. Probably your best bet! Do leave it out too long though, checking the trap after 6 hours usually is the best bet.

No And I dont want to be your friend either.

edit: Canadian Tire used to sell seine nets, maybe still do. Also check WSS, FH, BP, and Cabelas. Bass Pro has them(pretty sure).

Got a big one at BassPro last year. Havent tried it much, but now with the jet boat will probably take it out and net some side channels/creeks on the NSR.
