Well I know this is a tough place to fish. But a buddy and I are planning to go out there on Friday for the first time. Any advice in what to use and where to start would help a ton. I could trade some tips for a few lakes in my neck of the woods.
Let us know the status of the boat launch please. Last year they let so much water out that they stranded the launches until well into the season.

Is it open? I was there less than a week ago and it was still ice. Small amount of open water at the pressure ridge by the launch but not enough to get a boat in.
