Default Fishing Jasper area with kids

I'll be in Jasper this coming weekend with my family.

Looking for recommendations on where I can take the kids fishing. They are still young 7&5 so I'm looking for a spot where they'll be entertained on their small spinning rods while I cast a few flies.

I've read that two of the lakes in valley of the 5 lakes have trout. But I can't remember if shore fishing is any good. We are staying at Patricia lake so the obvious choice will be to go there first.

Thanks in advance.

Patricia, nice looking lake, so clear. Tougher fishing but there is a good dock...or was right at the Patricia lake resort. You used to be able to rent boats there too. You can cast from shore and that dock. Always better with a boat but you can do it. The lake just opened so you should see the odd laker still swimming around in the shallows. Maybe start there and then look to Pyramid which is just up the road and has more species and potential. There you can also shore fish but also look at renting a boat if that doesn't work out.
