Default Rock Lake by Hinton

Can anyone confirm if this lake is for electric motors only or can I use my gas one as well.

You can use a gas but keep in mind there is a speed limit. 15km/hr I believe but you should double check.

On a related note, does anyone know if the lake is expected to be ice free by May long?

nope, usually june up there, unless there's some strong winds and warm days. you never know though, maybe enough to cast from shore in certain spots. wouldn't even think of going out on a boat if there's any ice as a sudden wind shift could trap you somewhere.

side note, f&w (or srd, whoever was up there) estimate only 1 in 300 lakers are legal size. i've seen a few, but they are rare.
