Default Propane fireplace

Currently my wife and I are in the middle of swapping from a gas fireplace to a woodburning stove. Is there a market for used gas fireplaces? I hate to trash the unit as it's still in great shape and works well. The only reasons I am changing is I prefer wood heat, have an abundant supply of firewood available and HATE getting a 600$ gas bill in the winter....

Up here most heat with Natural Gas, so unless you have the conversion jets to burn Nat Gas there would not be a big market. The Nat Gas ones resell very well up here used. If there is a lot of Propane use in your area I would think there would be a good market for yours.

If it priced well, it will sell.

As always, Dean nailed it. We have a Nat gas fireplace in the basement, awesome, economical heat & it uses less than one watt of electricity to start.

Ergo, in a power outage, keeps the house from freezing.

Most people out of town are on propane or wood heat. In town is the only place with natural gas. I Started demo today. What a pain. Tearing rock off sucks but the hardi backer behind it is even worse at making a bloody mess.
