Default Battery powered hand warmer

Good morning,

Hope you all are having a great hunting season.

I am looking for a battery powered hand warmer. On that I can put in my pouch.

I see some that are rechargeable, but can't find one that you can put in AA or AAA batteries in rather than just the built in rechargeable battery. Anyone ever see one?

I see ones like these.

I was looking at one yesterday at can tire. I bought the chemical hand warmers instead, they never let me down.

Thanks for the reply. After some thought I think I will just stick with the chemical ones as well. I would probably lose the battery powered hand warm as I already lost my elk bugle, a headlamp, toque, seat cushion and 2 sets of bino covers to the mountains the past 2 hunting seasons. Hahaha.

I'd recommend the Zippo ones that you put lighter fluid into. Mine throws good heat for over 12 hours if I give it a full fill. The chemical ones don't even come close.

Default The best ones

I've never had an electric one but I have used the zippo type and the best ones were the ones that use a carbon stick. I got my most recent ones on the internet. On real cold days you can light both ends.

You need a lighter to get them started.

The carbon stick ones used to be good, now the carbon sticks always go out and if they do burn you are lucky to get 3 to 3 1/2 hours per stick. I think the quality of the sticks has really weakened over the years. Thus why I switched to Zippo ones.
