Default ISO new tripod

Looking for a new tripod. Backpacking worthy and can hold a 65mm spotter. Any suggestions?

Regards,
Doc

How much do you want to spend?
Revik is a good tripod, light, and good value

x2. Couple of guys on "Snipers Hide Forum" say the Revics a Leofoto LS 365 & can save fifty bucks by picking up the Leo.

I run a beefier Leofoto Summit w 2yrs of day to day mixed to rough use its turning out to be a bargain over a much more expensive Gitzo.

TCS carries the Leo.

Creeky....

Leo is the best bag for your buck. I compared my leupold tripod to a Leo at a match, basically identical, different colour hardware and few hundred cheaper.

Last time I was in the market the cool kids were running a slik 624 I believe. I had a squiz at that model and don’t like the leg locking system or the specs compared to the one I bought. I got this one and you can see back then it cost me $150

It extends high enough I can stand up at 6’ 1” tall and use my spotter, it’s short enough to slip into a small daypack like my MR dragon slayer and it’s got the leg locking system I prefer. With the head I installed it’s 4 ounces heavier then the carbon fibre 624’s listed weight

It moved across the pond with me and I still use it to this day. Chances are you’ll change the head but that’s true of most tripods you buy.

Seems pretty heavy for packing up a mountain. Revic is 2.3 lbs vs 4 lbs
