There was a lady, near Crammond, on the Trading Post the other morning looking for an elk her husband could shoot. Usually he gets one on their own land, apparently, the lack of snow has made them move around less. The local herd knows they're safe on gas plant land and only leave after dark.

Sure no big herds around Rocky anymore, hardly any small herds either. Good luck getting permission on a place that even has a small little herd.

Treaty hunter asking for hunting spots isn’t likely to get a serious response

??? What makes you think it's a treaty hunter? There's a special draw for antlerless elk good until Jan 20th on now in a bunch of WMU's..

Hey nothing wrong.. with taking a helper no matter were there from (white or any race)just as long as there there to help skinning it and hauling it out. Noting else ..no govt rules broken, and it's all mine to give to my family members, to show them how natives live and sustain our family's.Note: disease is rapidly spreading to bigger animals if you haven't known that,im not talking little game as you would call it.. ive seen it but dont mention it on here , if you were my friend out there with me i would point it out to you on what to look out for).Beats buying a cow(cattle) and get it butchered thats all in roughly $4500 in price beef went up and inflation....too bad right! I cant control beef prices...as for others who are posting replys go ahead and post & reply all you want and waste your time replying. Just remember you have a family to be with right now.

Just for the record, a non licensed hunter is NOT able to participate in a hunt with or without a 24/7 shooter.

Pops has been open enough about his Treaty status.
He has literally stated so in several previous requests on where to hunt.
He's even content to ask where to hunt Elk and Moose before and after the licensed seasons.

It is about all he posts on here, asking where to go for an easy hunt.

-------

Pops,

You've had enough years here of asking where to hunt.
Regardless of hunting status, I would tell anyone with your hunting experience and unlimited opportunity to stop asking me.

It appears to me that while you would happily take any leads on where to find an easy Elk or Moose, you also appear happy to ask for help while telling the same people to screw off.

Is this really the way you are desire to teach your Family of how Native's traditionally hunt?
Not by using traditional knowledge, by actually knowing the animals you are seeking.... to Sweat, Smudge and Pray.

Instead you are teaching your kids that the Native way to hunt is to go online and ask a bunch of non-Indigenous people where the Animals are....

Whether or not you are embarrassed by your actions, I am embarrassed for you.

Just another lazy grifter who cares nothing about wildlife or hunting ethics. Dont be so useless, go find your own elk like everybody else does.

Exactly what I was thinking, all that he wants is for someone to tell him where to go and shoot some elk, with as little effort as possible, zero interest in actually hunting.
