Happy ... 5.5 KG is over 12 lbs that's a lot of weight for a pontoon boat.

If you think you need that much get a traditional navy anchor, Bass Pro sell them in 10 - 15 -20 lb weights.

https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/bass...ps-navy-anchor

The secret to a good anchor hold is lots of rope and a chunk of chain get yourself some quality nylon like in this pic.

???? - I've used a pontoon for years and know lots of others who have as well. This is what we use and no problems in windy conditions.

Pretty rude response. It was a legitimate response to your question.

Default anchor

my brother and I both use 5 lb pyramid anchors for our pt boats, both on rivers and lakes. No issues.

I previously used a 10 lb pyramid anchor and found it too heavy to yank up from the muddy lake bottom.

How about this one at Princess Auto?

I've have been using this 2 float tube anchor with my Fish Cat Scout frameless pontoon on prairie lakes/winds. Same principle as the Princess Auto one above with pivoting flukes.
https://www.outcastboats.com/accesso...nchor-pkg.html

Most of the lakes I fish have soft or mud bottoms so this type of anchor with the pivoting flukes is pretty effective, even in stronger winds. Effectiveness is certainly dependent on the type of bottom.

I have been using the Scotty Anchor Lock for the last couple of years and am really happy with it. I usually use a strap-on mount for the Scout pontoon boat. Previously, I used the same anchor lock with a Scotty rail mount on my Fish Cat Streamer XL pontoon. I increased the size of the anchor rope to be more effective with the Scotty Anchor Lock on both boats.

Default Anchor--for pontoon,small inflatable craft.

A mid to light weight Digger anchor has good holding power, and a snag free feature.Easy to handle, at close quarters,no sharp edges.

Personally I would get a Mantis dinghy anchor. You will not need to install the roll bar so will come in at 2 lbs and will way out perform the traditional anchors. This 2 lb anchor will hold a 16 ft boat. Stores nice, light weight and when used with the correct scope will hold your pontoon no problem. It also has a extra hole on the shaft to attach a "rescue rope" incase your anchoring where you think it might get stuck.
