Default Marlin 336 Sights

My dad has a Marlin 336 with a straight grip with a Lyman 66LA receiver sight on it. The problem is, I can't get it low enough to properly zero. Do you guys have any recommendations on what sight would be better? I've thought of a scope, but don't really want to ruin the traditional look of the rifle.

I put a WGRS rear sight on my 336 and I had to put a taller front sight on. I think the front one was 0.030". I'm not positive but I could look for the bill. I got both sights from Western Gun Parts in Edmonton.

Good luck

Ok, what's a WGRS? Not sure if I've heard of it.

look up Skinner Sights on the internet. They are built in Montana and he specializes in Marlin sights.I ordered a set for my 336 and delivered to my door for $75 CDN and I love them. They are an apature sight and I have to give credit to the sight for my tighter groups.Try it.

WGRS is a Williams reciever sight. Seems to work good for me.

Check out ghost rings. Shooters edge in Calgary has them
