Default Who is best to take antique guns too for authentication?

In the Edmonton area and had a couple antique guns passed down to me and I was wondering who would be the best to take them too for ID and authentication. Both are Shotguns and I have been told that they may be quite valuble if authentic and not remakes from about 40 years later.
Thanks!!!

Thankfully he's got a good sense of humour

As soon as he see's the word antique in the title of this thread....he'll be in here

Glad it's my last shift.....I won't have to read his wrath until Saturday

That's why I love this site - a great bunch of fellas just FULL of compliments.
ESPECIALLY the young whippersnappers !
I have been told my first pet's name was Dino, so this stuff is lame and second rate !
Seriously though, if the info was posted with pics, I'm sure I could "ballpark it"
Nothing like being able to look at the real thing up close however.

I was going to post some pics as soon as I could actually. I also was thinking of taking it down to the CHAS show on the 6th,7th and seeing what the guys down there had to say. I will try to get pics up as soon as possible. Thanks for all the help everyone!!!

Thanks!! I hope I can get some answers on this old gun. I dont believe its even classed as a firearm anymore as the products needed to fire it arent readily available. LOL
