Default Fly fishing with push button reel

I used this method to catch salmon and trout at extreme long distance, when no back casting room.A regular 9 or 10 ft fly rod, must have butt extension.A good push button reel.A weighted cork bobber,or regular water weighted.About 7ft from the bobber,a 12in to 18in dropper.I found the best fly for salmon,a regular caribou bug, but with brown hackle.Method---hard cast, and just before the bobber hits the water, turn the handle.then dab the fly along the surface, letting only the fly,and not the cast hit the water.Hard to hook, with many misses, but a 6-10 lb salmon and you got a fight on your hands.A number 6 9672 hook seems to work best. For trout most any fly.
