haha worst stepfather EVER!!!!
Omg.. down on NSR.... eldest stepson 12 years old.... thought he had a snag........ NOPE!!!
CAUGHT A STURGEON... but ...... it snapped th line. Must have had a nick in it from debris floating down. He got it to shore.. i jumped right into the river to tail it and get under it... but just as i touched it...SNAP!
LOL kids sure love fishing. The youngest step son also caught his first fish....a walleye.
Worst stepdad ever haha

Spending time with your stepsons out on the river, heck I'd say that makes you an awesome stepdad. A missed fish just will keep the kids wanting to get out more I'd say.

I think losing the fish was your way of maybe getting the boys to go fishing with you again. So they have to catch one again. Or else just consider it as a quick release.
