Due to family issues, I finally got to roll up some ammo today. First time in 7 months.
Not much, just 50 rounds of .38spl.

Betting you are glad that's overwith.
I spent about 12 hrs over the weekend looking for a set of rings which I still haven't found, and reorganizing things in the basement, going thru a lot of stuff I hadn't touched since moving 2 yrs ago.

Yes, glad it's done, but at the price of 28 and 410 target loads, loading 7000 rounds saves about $4000.

I decided to process all of the 6.5CM brass that I have picked up at the range. All of it is once fired. So I de-capped, wet tumbled, and annealed the 281 cases. And then F.L. sized them all.
I was surprised when I was finished and counted it. That’s a lot of discarded once fired brass. (20 pieces just from today)
And then probably the most important part for someone whose brain is now retired….organized them by head stamp.

I loaded up 50 rounds of 44 magnum, 240 Hornady over 23.0 g H Lil Gun in Winchester brass. My goal is to take a whitetail buck with my Marlin 1894. This load gets me 2” groups at 100 yards.

Today I sized, flared, and primed 200 cases of .45 Colt. They’re ready for powder and bullets.
Just the start of the major replenishment of my ammo store. I intend to load 500 rounds of 4 different calibers to bring my store up to 2k again. That’s just the straight walled cased calibers.

Been pretty busy this week. But I guess if you shoot over a thousand rounds in three weeks, the ammo store gets kind of depleted. So I went about doing some loading.
I finished 300 .38spl, 400 .357mag, 400 .45 Colt, and 200 .44mag. I would have done more, but tomorrow’s weather is supposed to be spectacular, so I’m headed out to the range.

Loaded 100 rounds of 45-70 on the 550. Annealed 150 303 British on new EP integration machine. Works well. Found out my Lee collet die for 303 was done, collapsed a few cases. Have a spare one, ordered another.

250 rds of 7/8oz 12ga
With the increases in the price of ammo ($12 up from 8.50 last year) it started making sense to get the press out

It makes sense if you already have a press, and components on hand. If you have to buy a press and components at todays prices, it will take many thousands of rounds of 12 gauge, just to save enough to pay for the press. The big savings are for the sub gauges, especially the 28 and 410.

Already have the press, scored a smoking deal on a bunch of loading materials and... kinda depends on how much you want to shoot every week LOL
Haven't done the arithmetic lately but have been loading loading 7/8 or 3/4 oz.
3/4oz represents some pretty serious economy and doesn't beat you up while you're trying prove that you are saving money I shoot both for sporting clays and if I do my bit (always doubtful) they seem to work out to about 50 yds)

I did the arithmetic based on current component prices, and the cost to load 410 is not far from $9/box, over $9 for 28gauge, and more to load 12 gauge if you load 1or 1-1/8 oz loads. Before I bought my last load of components, my cost to load 410 and 28 averaged about $6.

Another 100 rounds of .357mag. I thought I would go a little old school and when measuring the powder charge I would use the old Lee Perfect Powder Measure. I haven’t used it for quite a while.
For the 7.0gr charge, I used the Lee for the bulk throw, and then trickled up with the AutoTrickler. That Lee unit is pretty accurate! I noted the majority of throws were 6.7 to 6.8 grains. Not bad for an old girl? One tenth of a grain variance.
Sometimes you just have to admire old school mechanics.

Windy today here gusting to 50km so I put off the coyote hunting and decided to get started on my new 7PRC reloading, I've put 80 rounds through it now so have some brass to work with, I got the Hornady competition dies set up c/w .310 neck bushing, resized all 80 brass, calipered, trimmed and ready for loading, set the seater die so everything is ready to go.
Perused the available load data I had gathered and decided to start with WLRM primers, H1000, RL25, H4831SC and Retumbo behind Hornady 175gr ELDX bullets, I have a good supply of all those powders, I should be able to find a load that shoots good with those components. I think US869 should be a good powder also but cannot find any data on it.

I found a box of metal .410 shells. Not plastic cases, metal. No idea how they got here

Finally got around to building some test loads for my latest coyote gun. Loaded 55 gr ballistic tips with Lapua brass, cci small rifle primers and 23-25 gr of varget and 26-28 grains of CFE 223. This is for the 223 Rem.

Should find a good load somewhere in those spreads, personally I have found that Benchmark and CFE 223 both give better velocity and accuracy than varget in my 223. I have a lot of BLC2 that I have not yet tested but it looks like it should work just fine.

Didn’t do any reloading but shot the test loads I built the other day. Seems like 27.7gr of CFE223 with a 55gr ballistic tip is going to be the answer. 3/4” groups and 3022fps. I didn’t think this was too bad out of a 18.6” semi.

Looks like you have a winner, it should do the trick just fine.

In the process of refurbishing a RCBS Rock chucker for my kid, hope to be done by Christmas. Shame to see such a great press get abused, fortunately it is mostly surface rust. Not sure what paint I should use to touch up the cast body though.
