Default Measle Plague

The first item on the news at noon, was another confirmed case of the measles in Edmonton. How did families ever survive in the past, mom would lift our tee shirt and say yup it's the measles. I guess mom is not here to confirm the measles any more.
Is it time to PANIC???

SARS, bird flu, west nile, pig flu. People get way to jumpy when people start getting sick. Just because there is a vaccine for something doesn't mean no one will get it. Getting sick is a part of life, it's how our immune systems get stronger and are able to fight off other sicknesses.

Amen to that!

Going back to the sixties, there were 200,000-300,00 cases per year in Canada. What's the big hoopla?

I've heard the public schools are looking at making it mandatory if your child is going to attend.

It is possible that some strains of these diseases are becoming immune to the vaccinations. Some people don't get their kids vaccinated because there are ingredients in the vaccine their kids are allergic to.

I can't remember the last flu shot I got, also can't remember the last time I had the flu.

I realized that, but my kids should be allowed to take a PB&J sandwich to school even though some people are allergic.

I do understand what you're saying, but kids are irresponsible. In the case of my cousin, she starts to go into anaphylactic shock by simply smelling it. I appreciate her illness is on the extreme end of things, but none the less, is your kids peanut butter sandwich more important than the health of another?

Cheers

I get what your saying. The peanut allergy isn't anything to mess around with. I just see so much of society having the sky is falling attitude and then people get on the "let's ban it" train. Drives me up the wall.

No, it's not possible. Diseases can become resistant to antibiotics or antivirals. Vaccinations cause your own immune system to produce antibodies to a specific antigen, which means it can effectively neutralize a specific disease before it destroys tissue. Some vaccinations can and do wear off, the MMR is one of those that do; this has been known for years. You are correct regarding the allergy issue.

As for the rest, research the effects of measles or mumps. The least problematic is sterility. It gets worse. Not what I'd want to endure, but to each their own.

Right?!

The anti-vaccine crowd lately has been increasingly insufferable.

Where's your proof of insufferability?? Got any links to obscure testing to justify your position? Are you employed by the vaccine company? The government and globalists will get us? Are you a liberal or possibly a hippie?
Lmao
You are correct

I do not understand the reasoning whereby one refuses to immunize a child that has the capacity of infecting other children they contact.

And

Donating to Children's hospitals in the event their child is dyeing from the disease the parent refused to have their child immunized.

Go Figure.

And to answer the op question of how did the children survive?

Well, for you urban folk, the children did not survive. Look at any rural graveyard that is over a hundred years old.

Some graveyards had a little dumping ground site for children that died, and the parents could not afford a marker.

And yes a lot of these children died from the complications of measles. I said a lot.

I didn't vaccinate my children for my own reasons. The issue with someone not vaccinating and not being able to send their kids to school is a joke! How could my unvaccinated child possibly give your vaccinated child something they have had shots for?? Doesn't make much sense to me.
