2X on the ice cleats...that ice can hit you hard. I cringe also when seeing a big fish pulled in with ungloved hands- braided line is dangerous when the Hog decides to run. As always a great post...tyvm.

Stay away from the cheap full sole rubber slip ons....they suck.

If you wear big winters/insulated rubbers or mucks...get the K1 mid sole cleats. They work good they stay put and you can just flip them around on top of your boot when not needed.

But honestly....the carbide studs that thread into your boot sole are the cats ass. Not cheap but they stay put and work great without being a huge annoyance on dry concrete etc.

Short screws and screw them right into the tread of your boots is the best option. I used to do that for bow fishing in rivers when i lived in Wisconsin. Will work for ice too. I have tried several ice cleat and not much work well or feel as sturdy as screws in the tread of your boots. Something like these:

oh and your "gonna need a bigger boat"... i mean hole catching those hogs. Great vids!

This is a really good idea. I just read this article. I might go pick up some sheet metal screws!

With a better camera and editing, I think you could really improve your following on YouTube. The actual fishing content of your videos is very high quality, more so than a lot of the established fishing YouTubers.

2x. It’d be nice to have a quality fishing Alberta YouTuber that pumps out content regularly.

Il take that as a compliment! Lol I only have my cell phone and a go pro, I dont even have a computer to edit on so I do what I can. What I try and bring to the channel is decent fish and diversity of fish, and I log my adventures along the way. They will still get better, especially once I get proper go pro mounts and a computer! Thanks for watching.

I'm trying man! It's hard to pump out content every few days, but I do have 2 more videos in the works, maybe not the best quality this time but nonetheless will be an interesting one I promise lol keep watching and one day il make it there. Tight lines!

It's definitely a compliment! I wasn't trying to be critical whatsoever, I simply wanted to mention that you have something going there. Keep the videos coming!

Appreciate it, it's tough to get things just right when you are working with 50+ video clips on a phone app lol it's fun though and one day il buy a computer and they will improve greatly.
