"confiscating a firearm from pond inlet"... not necessary. When you look at the dilapidated housing in these centers safe storage and other dumb gun laws are ignored. Kind of the way they obey helmet laws.
Your home will be the confiscation storage site. The gun can not leave your home. The cost to meet legal storage requirements will be paid by you. As with firearms that are now prohibs, the longer you have them the more their value will decline. I have been to many auctions where prohib revolvers because of barrel length sell for 1/5th to 1/10 the price of the same revolver with restricted status.
