Default WaterBoatman fly talk

There are many patterns available for sub surface.

But does anyone have or know of an "in flight" boatman pattern???

I havn't seen one yet, nor can I find one online.

I've never though about it until you asked, but you could try the Water Floatman. It's not quite "In Flight," but it is a dry boatman pattern. You could add poly yarn underwings sticking out each side if you're looking for a "crash landed" theme, or tie as-is for a "just getting some air at the surface, please don't eat me" pattern.

I also use a dry hook, wrap body with ostrich hearl, crystal flash tail, goose biots for legs, tan or brown midge flex shell, cover with Loon finish, UV finish and whip finish head .

Thanks boys.
I've talked to several experienced fly fisherman lately and no one has heard of this pattern.
Its gonna be trial n error to make one up....but I believe it's gonna be a real winner when it's done.
The fish go nuts when they flutter on the surface.

If anyone succeeds.....please post the killer fly

Kinwackly......would u be so kind to post a pic or pm it to me please
