About 7-8" 200 yds south of the boat launch today, over 5 FOW. Saw a beast of a whitefish, but iced nothing in 3.5 hours. Sounds like nobody was seeing any action today.

Fort lions pond had a good 19-22" all over I'm blown away with amount of people still asking me if I'm sure there's enough ice out there to be fishing already lmao

Does anybody know how thick the ice on Calling Lake is?

Default Obed lake

Was at obed lake today, drilled several holes. All were in the 11.5-12" range.

Too bad the fishing was uber slow.

Lakes in Calgary now at 8-11 inch. Sundance now open so hopefully I can get some folks out for perch over the Christmas break. Caught some 7-9 inch perch this fall so curious to see if that was a fluke.

Anyone been to Murray Lake or Rattlesnake/Sauder? I have 10 to 12" of good clear ice on my dugout.

Was out at Gull today and punched a few holes. Ice is good 13-15 inches everywhere I drilled. Most guys were driving on... I walked to be safe. driving next time.

Measured 20" at Utikima in one place and as little as 14" in others and not a decent fish anywhere

How much ice was out there? Never fished it before but I'm thinking it might be fun to take my nieces and nephews out.

Plenty. 12+in. Perfect clear ice. Iced about 40 or so rainbows and one brookie. Great place to take some youngsters. PM me if you need any tips or suggestions.

We went to Hanmore lake, AB today, just north of Smoky Lake. Got there to see only some foot prints in the snow and not any auger holes. The ice was 19 inches thick. Had six northern pike, but four were small and went back. Not much snow, so you could see the stress cracks in the ice. It must have frozen fast. I drove on a bit but backed up because the ice noise was loud as I drove on. Next time I'm bringing the snow mobile. Thought I would walk this time, not knowing the ice thickness was that high.

Anyone familiar with Burnstick lake near Caroline? I'm thinking of taking my kiddos out to try some ice fishing. Wondering if anyone has had any luck in recent years?

So I imagine there's plenty of ice for vehicles to be on the ice around Edmonton? Wab, St. Anne, Devils etc?

For the most part yes. Just be careful of heaves and cracks as they are bad this year on a number of lakes.

The ice varies a lot on the lakes this year but most appears to be at least 12 inches now.

Default Spray Lk

12" of solid ice there today. Very little snow, so it was slippery walking across.
Decent bite early, landed a couple.
Wind kicked up about 10am, then it howled.
Poor fellas who braved it out there without a shelter set-up.

It was completely frozen over when I was last there a month ago. You'll be fine to walk on, not sure about driving
