dacron in case as filler
has any one used dacron in rifle cases as a filler to make a sub sonic round. and as well on a case the is only 85% full to help hold powder at the bottom part of case to ensure uniformity and help with fps deviation . i know there's lots of write ups on the net on other forums but thought i would ask here .
and please no smart @$$ comments thanks

Make sub sonic rounds using Trail Boss powder, It is very bulky so no filler needed. Also, 80% fill does not need filler unless it is black powder.
I do everything I can not to use fillers. Anything you add to the load will make cleaning the gun from more to a lot more work. Dacron is more work.

I used Dacron as a filler years ago . Went to a fabric shop and got way more than I needed . It was easy to work with

I use dacron on a regular basis in my cast bullet shuetszen rifles, but also use trail boss which does not need any kind of filler.
I prefer the trail boss.

Dacron
Lots of reloaders using nitro-for-black loads, use Dacron stuffing.
Because the nitro load is so much smaller, the Dacron helps stabilize the powder ignition.
Lots of guys recommend weighing the Dacron for consistency

I have not loaded them myself yet but have shot a pile of dacron and unique round ball loads in 45-70 those things are a pile of fun!

Unless you are loading at the range and shooting single cartridges, I would highly recommend using Trail Boss as over time the powder can migrate through the facron and give inconsistent results .
Trail Boss was specifically made for reduced load shooting .

Depending on the size of the case, you can figure out a load with 2 powders to fill the case properly. One would be a regular powder, and one would be a super slow powder. I'm always nervous about adding non burning fill to bottlenecks.

I use .5 gr Dacron in 303 Brit. I have loaded and shook the crap out of them and pulled the bullet and I did not see any significant amount of powder migration into the Dacron. Measure out .5gr of Dacron you will see why I am not too worried about it. I would be more concerned with 10gr of cow in a bottle neck case.

303 brit isn't that bad. The bottleneck is not that severe... If it was a 22.250, I'd be worried.....

Never felt the need for a filler myself, but, the biggest case I have run fast powder like Green Dot or AA9 in, was the 7-08, the 32-30 and 32-40 were loaded at the bench. For the 450-400 I use AA5744. If I ever get around to using the 210gr in the 450-400, I'll use Trailboss. Didn't have any issues with the 7-08 with using Green Dot while hunting, kept the rounds upright in an Uncle Mike's shell carrier on my belt. But, Trailboss is the powder to use these days, for the chicken loads, it is a much simpler way of doing it.
