Default Full moon opener

The moon will be full quite early in sept, I tend to watch the moon phase every time I go out. Looking back to 2016, I killed a target buck on sept 2nd which was the day after the new moon. The moon was setting right when he came by my stand, but there had also been a nasty cold rain for 4hrs before I killed him. What is everyone's thoughts on a full moon this close to the opener? I would agree that bad weather systems will trump the moon every time.

According to what John Dudley says from Nock On, the moon phase on the opening weekend will have animals moving in the evening. I know nothing about it so I imitate those that have success. Hopefully he's right

Terrible moon phase to start the season, everyone should probably just stay home till October.

I actually dislike the full moon. would much rather have no moon as it gives me more activity during daylight hours and dusk and dawn.

Weather patterns is what its all about. I try to always be out pre and post storms. Long range forcast (for what its worth) is predicting a cool opening morning!!

Photo period
Food/water sources
Weather
Predation
Hunting pressure

Etc.

Etc.

Moon phase.

That's what the list looks like here. It's the absolute bottom of the list. While there has been some great research on the subject, the majority comes from heavily modified/controlled southern environments. The deer in AB have a lot more to concern themselves with than moon phase, I've looked back at my logs and found no correlation whatsoever.
